If you work, stream, or simply want to stay reliably online while traveling, you need more than an ordinary mobile modem. The SELFSAT MWR 6550 eSIM combines WiFi 6 with the latest 5G technology in a single device built specifically for continuous mobile use in motorhomes, caravans, vans and yachts. With up to 6 stored eSIM profiles and two additional SIM card slots, you can set up the right data plan for almost any country in advance — no more fumbling with SIM cards at the border.

The router runs directly off your vehicle’s 12/24-volt onboard power system. It picks up mobile signals or an existing WiFi network and turns it into your own encrypted wireless network inside the vehicle. The included external antenna compensates for the shielding effect of the vehicle body, delivering noticeably more stable reception than an indoor-only unit. Setup and mounting are designed to be straightforward, with rugged, weather-resistant build quality.

Everything is configured conveniently through your web browser — no additional app required. Logging into campsite WiFi networks with a login page (captive portal) also works directly from the interface. For secure browsing and streaming abroad, you can set up a VPN connection, and a built-in GPS receiver enables location tracking as well as precise time synchronization.

Starlink-compatible out of the box — no configuration needed

The SELFSAT MWR 6550 eSIM pairs seamlessly with Starlink, giving you dual coverage: satellite internet for remote locations, mobile data for everywhere else. Combined with our Starlink 12/24V power adapters, the setup works immediately, with no manual configuration required. That means reliable connectivity even far from any mobile mast, while the router can automatically fall back to the faster, more affordable mobile network whenever signal is available.
