Thanks to a submission from Peter Eich (Freizeitbedarf-ZW, Dipl.-Ing. in Vehicle Engineering), we’re excited to present a practical wiring diagram that makes it easy and energy-efficient to control Starlink from SpaceX in a camper via one of our boost and PoE injectors like the 220W for Starlink Standard (and also alternative routers like the AXT1800) using multiple push buttons.
The idea: With a bistable ELTAKO relay (Type ES61), standard push buttons with LED, and the REM port function of our PoE injector, Starlink can be conveniently switched on and off from different areas in the vehicle – without unnecessary standby power consumption.
🔧 Key advantages at a glance:
- Convenient control: Multiple buttons can be placed throughout the RV – e.g. by the bed, in the living area, or the driver’s cockpit.
- LED feedback: The buttons used can be equipped with LEDs to display the current status.
- Power-saving: The bistable ELTAKO relay only uses power briefly during switching.
- System integration: Can also be controlled via a Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX.
- REM port usage: Control is cleanly handled through the REM port of the boost-converted PoE injector – no permanent power draw.

The wiring diagram was provided by Peter Eich, who has successfully installed this system in customer vehicles. He can be contacted at:
